Phonecasting.com Launches Website Services to 3.5 Billion cell phone subscribers.

Phonecasting: Breaking News – Call 1 (650) 294-3343 to hear this release as a Phonecast now.

Houston, TX – June 29th/ Phonecasting.com launched its flagship website today featuring services that will enable anyone to call from any phone, and create their own phonecasting episodes. Once an episode is recorded, create a channel phone number and offer it to the 3.5 Billion cell phone subscribers worldwide.

With phonecasting.com/">Phonecasting.com, creating user-generated content is as easy as dialing a phone number. Call up, record, distribute and even potentially monetize your popular phonecasts and digital media content.

Publishers may sign up for a free account at the phonecasting.com/">Phonecasting.com website. Once registered, call the toll free number, 877-293-2839 to record a phonecast.

Once the phonecast has been recorded, it can be made available in the Phonecasting directory by auto-generated RSS feeds. Subscriber options for dialup, download and streaming are available to web site members from a computer or mobile phone.

For publishers with sponsors, check out the "patent pending" "dynamic ad insertion tools". Participating publishers with sponsors are allowed to embed on-the-fly advertisements into programming each time an episode is downloaded. The advertisements are typically at the beginning and end of the phonecasts. Sponsors can record ads with the in-browser Ad Recorder in a matter of minutes. These tools are much easier to use than Googles Ad Sense. No typing required. Plug a microphone into the computer, hit record, save when finished, and you're ready to launch your ad campaign.

Michael Sharp, founder and CEO, of Phonecasting.com, had this to say about the startup and website launch, "We are delighted to offer a phonecasting platform that anyone with a phone can utilize and incorporate into their local and global marketing strategies.

Businesses, corporate content creators and aggregators, ad agencies, educational institutions and individual content creators, literally anyone who wishes to, now have the capacity to create and distribute audio for critical mass consumption".

A recent survey has reported that there will be 3.5 Billion global mobile phone subscribers by the end of July, 2007, in effect, nearly half the world's population. The survey showed more than 1,000 new customers are effectively signing up for mobile phones each minute around the world.

Noting that the phone, be it cell phone or landline, is perhaps the most prolific social networking tool in modern history, Mr. Sharp said, "Phonecasting, in essence, is like My Space and YouTube all rolled up into one. Because of the now-realized convergence between wireless mobile and the Internet publishers now have a low cost, broad spectrum medium, with the capacity to globalize, mobilize and monetize on-demand viral audio and video distribution."

Phonecasting.com's content management and delivery platform provides ingestion, transcoding and reliable, scalable global distribution solutions.

An exhaustive directory featuring over ten thousand programs is now already available at Phonecasting.com.

When the world’s most popular social network decides to get into the social news business, you expect them to make it, well, social. On the contrary, the new MySpace News site is anything but social. In fact, MySpace has left out just about every feature that makes competing social news sites like Digg and Reddit so popular and addictive.
