I’m a big fan of the site RateYourMusic.com (I’m also a huge fan of the site http://www.MusicByDay.com by the way!) and one thing I really like to look at is the overall charts to see which albums have been the top rated of all time. If you don’t know what RateYourMusic.com is, it’s a site where music lovers (like myself) rate all of the albums they’ve listened to. Some raters also write their own reviews which can be very interesting to read.

I recently went to hear Dave Brubeck. Bru is 85 years young and still playing at a level better than that of most musicians. His playing was, of course, not up to the level he achieved in the 1950s and 1960s. Indeed, many in the audience failed to appreciate the greatness of the music they heard that night because memories of the music of his classic quartet kept interfering.

More importantly it was controlled by moguls, all of whom were men they of eastern European descent, who ruled the studio in the same way that the kings of their previous countries ruled the peasants. COTTY NGUYEN (win) is returning to defend his crown when the WORLD POKER OPEN kicks off at GOLD STRIKE on January 3, 2007. He fully expects to play his way into the championship event Jan. 21-25. There was little doubt that Scotty would return. In the 2006 event last January he took home nearly $1 million.
